Purpose

To ensure that proposed agency information technology initiatives and resource projects are consistent with the State’s strategies and goals, and with enterprise IT policies and standards.

Policy

  1. All information technology acquisitions, upgrades or expansions to existing solutions, and associated agreements shall be consistent with State strategic goals and with the proposing agency’s strategic goals.
  2. All information technology acquisitions, upgrades or expansions to existing solutions, and associated agreements shall be in compliance with the enterprise policies and standards established by the Georgia Technology Authority.
  3. The Executive Director of the Georgia Technology Authority shall establish standards to implement this policy. 
  4. GTA shall provide the results of its review and its recommendations to the agency and to the Office of Planning and Budget following IT Review.
